The function of the hydraulic pump proportional solenoid valve is to accurately control the output flow of the hydraulic pump so that the power of the hydraulic system matches the engine speed and load. When the excavator is working, it can automatically adjust the flow output of the hydraulic pump according to different working conditions, such as changes in excavation resistance, fluctuations in engine speed, etc. For example, when encountering high-load conditions, the hydraulic pump flow is reduced to prevent the engine from stalling; under light-load conditions, the pump flow is appropriately increased to restore the low-pressure and high-flow state to ensure the working speed, thereby improving the working efficiency and fuel economy of the excavator, and also protecting the engine and hydraulic system from overload damage.
Common faults
- Solenoid valve stuck: Hydraulic oil pollution, impurities entering the solenoid valve, or valve core wear will cause the valve core to stick, causing abnormal excavator movements, such as a certain action cannot be performed or the speed is slow.
- Coil burnout: Long-term use, current overload, line short circuit and other reasons may cause the solenoid valve coil to burn out. At this time, the solenoid valve cannot work normally and the corresponding action fails.
- Seal damage: Aging and wear of seals will cause oil leakage, resulting in a drop in system pressure, affecting the working efficiency and accuracy of the excavator.
Maintenance
- Regular cleaning: Regularly clean the dust, oil and debris on the surface of the solenoid valve to prevent it from entering the interior. At the same time, check whether the connecting pipes and joints are loose or leaking.
- Replace hydraulic oil: Replace hydraulic oil according to the prescribed cycle and standards, use qualified oil products, ensure the cleanliness of the oil, and prevent oil contamination from damaging the solenoid valve.
- Check electrical connections: Regularly check whether the wiring harness of the solenoid valve is firmly connected, whether there is damage or short circuit, and repair or replace it in time if any problems are found.
